Description
Kiama and Shelby were busy training for upcoming shows and Breeze was being drenched, so it was just Joy and Crystalinne in the mares paddock, Joy was busy talking to Sven and being a natural mother to him even though they're the same age. Whenever a new horse comes to the stables Joy is always the one to make them feel welcome. Breeze has settled in well but Sven is unsure of Malestorm, mainly because Malestorm was the first horse at the stables and he is the strongest and the leader of the herd and Sven finds him threatening. Joy has always been like a mother to Crystalinne who was weaned from her mother and retured to her father who sadly passed away, when she came to Ocean road stables she didn't seem so bright and bubbly so Joy took her under her wing. Joy has had 3 foals and adopting another seemed like no ptoblem, now that Crystalinne has grown older she still appreciates Joy's love and her unbreakable bond with her 'sister' Kiama who is one of Joy's foals. Crystalinne wanted some alone time so she went to the dam in their paddock to get a drink and the water was as blue as the sky. "Chirp! Chirp!" Crystalinne's head shot up, she looked around checked her hooves to she if she had stepped on something but there was nothing. "Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!" Crystalinne looked over the bullrush weeds and saw something moving, she cantered over to find a little duckling all on it's own.
"Hey there little guy" Crystalinne said as she put her head down and spiffed the small creature
"Chirp!" The duckling squawked. Crystalinne looked around, she couldn't see any ducks anywhere only a few seagulls standing at the back door of the house waiting for leftovers. "Are you lost?" Crystalinne asked the duckling, "Chirp! Chirp!" The small bird jumped up and down as if to say yes. Cyrstalinne put her face flat on the ground as the chick climbed onto her head and roosted in her forelock. "Let me know when you see your mother okay little buddy"
"Chirp!" The duckling said in reply and nuzzled into Crystalinnes forelock.
